Babysense V is the original and first non-touch monitor of its kind, intended for detection of cessation of movements in infants. 

Babysense V is a highly sensitive non-touch device that monitors a baby's micro-movements through the mattress during sleep and gives an alert to caretakers if the infant's micro-movements stop or become irregularly slow. 

Babysense V was developed because caretakers cannot easily provide 24 hour surveillance of an infant that is necessary in view of the dangers that may face infants in hospitals and at home during their early stages of development. The use of the Babysense baby movement monitor during the infants' rest periods provides them a sense of comfort and allows them to sleep and rest better knowing that their baby's movements are constantly being monitored.

Babysense’s highly effective micro-movement monitoring system has helped protect over 600,000 babies around the world.

Babysense was extensively tested in hospitals and used in government programs targeted to provide parents and healthcare providers with enhanced means to monitor an infants' movements.

How it works:

Babysense is a highly sensitive device that monitors and detects even the slightest movements through the mattress. 

The control unit is connected to sensor pads placed between infant's mattress and crib or bed base. 

The passive sensor system is totally safe and has no direct contact with the infant. 

Babysense sounds an alarm alerting to check the baby if no movement is detected for more than 20 seconds or if the movement rate slows to less than 10 micro-movements per minute.

The technology of Babysense Monitors is an unique safety and reassurance system which helps parents sleep better. However no device can substitute adult supervision and it is important that an adult be within hearing range of the Babysense monitor at all times. Please remember that Babysense is not a medical device - it cannot prevent Sudden Infant Death or any type of distress. The purpose of the device is to alert you when stopping or slowing of movement occurs.
Babysense is CE certified as a Class II Medical Device in Europe (93/42/EEC) and is listed as a Medical Device as per Ministry of Health in Europe, Israel, Japan, Australia and Korea where it has been used in hospitals for many years.

I have used a similiar monitor in the past when my first child was born. I loved it then and think it is a great idea. I like the two pads used in the BabySense better than the one pad model I used before. Our son is almost 10 months old and we use the monitor every night. I could not sleep without it. We had one alarm sound when he was about 3 months old. He got his face against a bumper guard and his shallow breathing set the alarm off. WHAT A PEACE OF MIND!. -

You can't stay awake 24/7 to watch over your baby, and being a new parent sometimes you feel like you need to. This monitor is like a night time and nap time babysitter watching over you precious little one while you aren't there. It is great because you can use it in the cradle and then the crib. It works, it has saved my daughter 3 times. We were skeptical about this when we got it so we tried all sorts of tests on it and found out it really does sense the slightest movements. Make sure not to have a fan on and a mobile on the crib, the air circulation will cause the mobile to move ever so slightly and the monitor can sense that. After testing we decided to remove the crib mobile and bought a projected mobile that plays music and displays images on the ceiling instead. It is the peace of mind that is worth so much more than you pay for. Our daughter has respiratory problems and her respiration rate dropped below the normal amount, the alarm went off. It is LOUD and it will wake you up right away with plenty of time to get to your child and get them breathing normally again. I believe in this product sooo much that I have given it to several people for shower gifts. You always hope that your child will be perfectly healthy, but if not this is the life line to give them another chance. I can't think of the consequences if we had never purchased this product. So thank you to the BabySense company, you saved my daughters life! -
